The horse is mounted on Haddon's intrepretation of the classic spring - swing stand used by Ayres around 1900. It is also an unusual colour for Haddon: chestnut with paler legs.
This size Haddon is modelled from the very beautiful extra fine carved Ayres model ( see pages 68 - 69 in Mullins ) and much of the detail of these wonderful horses has been reproduced by the fibre glass mould. His head turns to the left.
