Pip is a small extra carved 'No 21' type Lines or Woodrow *swing stand rocking horse. The stand has been repaired in the past and the pillars and top rail
are replacements, not to the correct pattern but the stand is firm enough to use as it is. The bottom rail, cross peices, hoof rails and swing
irons are original
The horse is a beauty, his head turns to the left, he has fine carving and a lovely shape. He has his original glass eyes and the
brackets are marked G & J L LD L.
He does need a full restoration now. There is no sign of any woodworm damage in the stand or horse.
* Woodrow was an ex Lines director who set up in business in 1932. His 'Swallow' brand horses were mostly
based on Lines patterns and it can be very hard to tell them apart from Lines horses unless they are labelled.
